Tonoferon Drops is used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies, iron deficiency anaemia, and low iron in the body, improve metabolism, promote growth and good health, and increase appetite and body weight.
Tonoferon Drops contains Iron, Cyanocobalamin, Folic acid, and Lysine. Iron helps in the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Cyanocobalamin helps in the proper functioning of the brain, nerves and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid is necessary for various bodily functions, such as nucleotide biosynthesis and remethylation of homocysteine. Lysine helps improve appetite and promote growth. Together, Tonoferon Drops helps in treating nutritional deficiencies.
Tonoferon Drops can be taken with antibiotics if advised by the doctor. However, maintain a gap of 2 hours between Tonoferon Drops and antibiotic medicines, as taking them together might decrease their effectiveness.
Avoid taking Tonoferon Drops with milk, caffeine, calcium supplements, or antacids, as taking them together might lower the amount of iron absorption. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Tonoferon Drops for as long as your doctor has recommended it. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Tonoferon Drops.
Tonoferon Drops might cause the stools to appear darker than usual; this is due to the elimination of unabsorbed iron. Do not worry, as it is a common side effect associated with iron supplements. Consult a doctor if this bothers you or if you notice blood in your stools.
