Tor 10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and edema (caused by various medical problems, including heart, kidney, or liver disease). The detailed uses of Tor 10 mg Tablet are as follows:

• Treating Edema: Tor 10 mg Tablet helps to reduce fluid retention (edema) associated with conditions like congestive heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease by increasing urine production, alleviating swelling and discomfort.
• Managing Hypertension: Tor 10 mg Tablet helps to lower blood pressure by reducing fluid volume, decreasing vascular resistance, and minimising cardiovascular risk.

• Tor 10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
• It is usually taken once daily in the morning, preferably at the same time each day, or as advised by your doctor.
• Swallow Tor 10 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not break, chew, or crush it.

• Tor 10 mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called loop diuretics, used to treat high blood pressure and oedema (a build-up of fluid in the body).
• Tor 10 mg Tablet contains torsemide, which works by increasing the amount of urine that is passed out from the kidneys.
• It effectively reduces excess fluid levels in the body and treats oedema (swelling) associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease.

• If you experience sudden wheeziness, tightness in the chest or throat, difficulty breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching (especially affecting your whole body), inform your doctor immediately.
• Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Tor 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age.

• Limit intake of sodium chloride (table salt) in your daily diet to 2300 mg per day. This helps relieve the swelling of the body.

• Avoid chronic stress, as it can raise your blood pressure. Try to enjoy and spend time with your loved ones to cope with stress and practice mindfulness techniques.
• Monitor your blood pressure daily, and if there is too much fluctuation, contact your doctor immediately.
