About Trofentyl OTFC Tablet

Trofentyl OTFC Tablet belongs to a class of medicines known as 'opioid analgesics,' primarily used to relieve pain. It is used to treat breakthrough pain (sudden episodes of pain occurring despite treatment with pain medication) in cancer patients. Pain can be temporary (acute) or long-lasting (chronic) in nature. Acute pain is caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or other organs for a short time. Chronic pain lasts for a long duration and is caused due to pathologies like nerve damage and osteoarthritis.

Trofentyl OTFC Tablet contains Fentanyl. It works by blocking a chemical messenger in the brain responsible for causing pain. Hence, changing the way the brain and nervous system respond to pain.

Trofentyl OTFC Tablet should be used as recommended. Trofentyl OTFC Tablet may cause certain side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, increased or decreased blood pressure, and irregular heartbeat in some cases. Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Trofentyl OTFC Tablet may include excessive drowsiness or sleepiness, slow or shallow breathing, difficulty breathing, cold, clammy skin, narrowing or widening of the pupils (black circles in the middle of the eyes), unable to respond or wake up, slowed heartbeat, and unusual snoring. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
