About Tuscus Drops

Tuscus Drops is used to treat symptoms of the common cold and allergies like sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, congestion, or watery eyes. The common cold is a respiratory illness affecting the nose and throat. It is mostly caused by viruses known as 'rhinovirus'. The virus enters the body through the nose, mouth or eyes and spreads easily through droplets in the air when the person who is sick sneezes, coughs or talks.

Tuscus Drops contains Chlorpheniramine maleate and Phenylephrine hydrochloride. Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks the release of histamine in the body, which is known to cause allergic symptoms. Phenylephrine hydrochloride helps shrink the blood vessels in the nasal passage, thereby providing relief from a stuffy nose. Together, Tuscus Drops helps provide relief from symptoms of allergy such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and nasal congestion.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Tuscus Drops depending on your condition. The most common side effects of Tuscus Drops are drowsiness, dizziness, headache, dry mouth/nose/throat, upset stomach, constipation, or trouble sleeping. Most of these side effects of Tuscus Drops do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, reach out to your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in Tuscus Drops. Please tell your doctor before starting Tuscus Drops if you have a liver problem, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
