Your doctor may prescribe Vagilyte 2% Vaginal gel to help manage the following conditions:

• Vaginal thrush (candidiasis): Helps clear the fungal overgrowth in the vaginal tract, relieving associated itching, redness, and abnormal discharge.

When used as directed as part of your treatment plan, Vagilyte 2% Vaginal gel may provide the following benefits:

• Symptom relief: By stopping fungal growth, the medicine helps soothe irritated vaginal tissues, gradually reducing the urge to scratch and relieving the burning sensation.
• Localised treatment: Applying the medicine directly into the vagina allows it to act exactly where the infection is, helping you recover while minimising effects on the rest of your body.
• Overnight action: Applying the medication at bedtime allows it to remain in place and work continuously while you sleep, which reduces daytime leakage.

• Vagilyte 2% Vaginal gel is typically used once daily before bedtime or as advised by a doctor.
• Check the label for instructions before using this medication.
• Clean and dry your vaginal area before applying Vagilyte 2% Vaginal gel.
• Take the advised amount of Vagilyte 2% Vaginal gel and gently apply it to the affected area with a clean hand or an applicator provided with the pack.
• Wash your hands before and after the application.

• Choose cotton underwear: Wear breathable, pure cotton underwear to reduce moisture buildup, as yeast thrives in warm, damp environments.
• Avoid tight clothing: Stay away from tight-fitting trousers, leggings, or synthetic materials that trap heat and moisture around the pelvic area.
• Practise proper bathroom hygiene: Always wipe from front to back after using the toilet to prevent spreading bacteria or yeast from the anus to the vagina.
• Avoid scented hygiene products: Do not use scented soaps, bubble baths, douches, or feminine sprays, as they can alter vaginal pH and worsen irritation.
• Change wet clothing quickly: Remove wet swimsuits or sweaty workout gear immediately after use to prevent creating an ideal environment for yeast growth.
• Limit dietary sugars: Reduce your intake of highly processed sugars and refined carbohydrates, as consistently high blood sugar levels can sometimes encourage yeast overgrowth.

• Finish the full course: Complete your entire treatment course exactly as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve quickly or if your menstrual period begins.
