Valpodium 500 CR Tablet is primarily used to treat epilepsy/seizures/fits. Additionally, Valpodium 500 CR Tablet is also used to treat mood disorders and migraine. Epilepsy is a sudden rush of electricity in the brain. In patients with seizures, the typical brain electrical pattern is disrupted by sudden bursts of electrical impulses that affect an individual's consciousness, movements or sensations.

Valpodium 500 CR Tablet is a combination of Sodium valproate and Valproic acid. Valpodium 500 CR Tablet works by decreasing the excessive and abnormal nerve activity in the brain. Thereby helps in controlling seizures.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, sleepiness, drowsiness, impaired coordination, apathy (lack of interest), irregular periods and weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

• Bipolar Disorder Treatment: Valpodium 500 CR Tablet can be utilized in the treatment of bipolar disorder, aiding in mood stabilization and reducing the frequency of mood swings.
• Migraine Prevention: Valpodium 500 CR Tablet may also be prescribed to prevent migraines, providing relief from recurrent headaches.

• Take Valpodium 500 CR Tablet with food to avoid stomach upset or as advised by a doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.
