About Xoxe-CV Tablet
Xoxe-CV Tablet is used to treat various bacterial infections such as pharyngitis/tonsillitis, otitis media (ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease), septicaemia (bloodstream infection), meningitis (inflammation of the brain and spinal cord), lower respiratory tract, skin, urinary tract, bone, and joint infections.
Xoxe-CV Tablet is a combination of cefuroxime and clavulanic acid. Cefuroxime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell covering. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of cefuroxime against the bacteria.
In some cases, you may experience specific common side effects, such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Before starting Xoxe-CV Tablet, please inform your doctor if you have any allergies (to any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take Xoxe-CV Tablet on your own, as self-medication can lead to antibiotic resistance, where antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Although taking Xoxe-CV Tablet and Lepirudin together can evidently cause an interaction, it can be taken if your doctor has suggested it. Do not stop using any medications without a doctor's advice.
Co-administration of Dalteparin and Xoxe-CV Tablet can increase the blood levels and effects of Dlateparin.
How to manage the interaction:
Taking Xoxe-CV Tablet with Dalteparin together can possibly result in an interaction, but it can be taken if a doctor has advised it. Do not discontinue any medications without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Xoxe-CV Tablet may reduce the anti-tumor activity of BCG in the bladder.
How to manage the interaction:
Talk to your doctor before receiving BCG if you are currently being treated with Xoxe-CV Tablet. To ensure adequate response to your treatment, you should not receive BCG until after you complete your antibiotic therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
Taking these medications together might make it harder for your body to absorb atazanavir, which could make it less effective.
