Zoxan 0.3% Eye/Ear Drops 10 ml

Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye and ear. The detailed uses of Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops are as follows:

• Treatment of eye infections: Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops is effective in treating bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and corneal ulcers (eye ulcers) caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Treatment of ear infections: Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops is also used to treat external otitis (infection of the outer ear canal), malignant otitis externa (a severe external ear infection), and chronic otitis media (a long-lasting middle ear infection), and to prevent bacterial infections associated with ear surgery.

• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and timing of Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops.
• For eye use: Tilt your head back and gently pull your lower eyelid downwards and outwards to form a pouch. Instil the prescribed number of drops into the pouch and close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• For ear use: Tilt your head to the side and gently instil the advised number of drops into the ear. Keep your head tilted for a minute to allow the drops to soak in.
• Do not touch the dropper with your bare hands to prevent contamination.

• Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops helps treat eye infections, such as conjunctivitis and eye ulcers, caused by susceptible bacteria
• It is effective for treating severe bacterial infections of the outer and middle ear, including chronic otitis media and otitis externa.

• Do not use Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
• Before using Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops, inform your doctor if you have vision problems, severe eye pain, glaucoma (increased eye pressure), eye damage, hearing problems (cytotoxicity), a perforated eardrum, or if you are undergoing eye surgery.
• Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
• Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops should be used in children only if prescribed by a doctor.
• Talk to your doctor if infection symptoms persist or worsen after two weeks of treatment.
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper to the eye, ear, or surrounding areas, as this may contaminate the contents.

For eye infections:

• Do not consume foods you are allergic to, as they may cause your body to produce excess mucus, resulting in ear inflammation.
• Avoid getting shampoo, soap, or water into your ears, as this can cause itching or irritation.
• Do not poke or scratch the ear, as this can damage the ear canal and cause inflammation.
• Elevate your head while sleeping to help drainage and reduce pressure in your ears.
