Hello new mom,

Congratulations on stepping into the biggest role of your life.

With this big role comes a big responsibility of breastfeeding your little one.

I am sure you know this already, breastfeeding can truly be a game-changer especially when it comes to bonding with your kid.

Your breast milk is packed with essential nutrients and antibodies, boosting your baby’s immunity and brain power. Also, it helps in maintaining a healthy weight and reduces the risk of infections and allergies

And it is boon for you mums too, breastfeeding helps your uterus return to pre-pregnancy size, aids in weight loss, and lowers your risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

Wondering about how to improve the quality of your breast milk?

Stock up on fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. But you must steer clear of caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, high-mercury seafood, and processed snacks.

Now, let’s talk about stopping breastfeeding. / Weaning

When is the right time to stop? Well, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

It is recommended for at least six months exclusively and continuing alongside solids for up to two years. For babies under one year, consider replacing breastfeeds with formula or solids. And for babies above 1 year consider cow’s milk and a balanced diet

And, formula milk is a reliable alternative when breastfeeding isn’t an option. Just be sure to follow age-specific recommendations and store it correctly.

When it comes to stopping breastfeeding, remember, Weaning is a gradual process—go slow and follow your baby's cues.
