I have been experiencing a persistent dry cough, and now my lungs are starting to hurt due to continuous coughing. On my doctor's advice, I am currently taking Ascoril D Plus, Monticope, and nebulization, but the cough has not improved. What further treatment should I consider?

A persistent dry cough that is not improving may be related to conditions such as Bronchitis, Allergic Cough, or throat and airway irritation. Medicines like Ascoril D Plus Syrup, Monticope Tablet, and nebulization are commonly used to control cough and airway inflammation, but sometimes it may take a few days to show improvement. You can also try drinking warm fluids, taking steam inhalation, and avoiding dust, smoke, and cold foods. If the cough continues for more than 2-3 weeks or worsens, revisit your doctor for further evaluation to identify the exact cause and adjust the treatment.
I am suffering from a cold, dry cough, fatigue, and fever. What can I do to relieve my symptoms?

Make sure to rest, drink plenty of fluids, and take paracetamol to help with fever and discomfort. Using a humidifier or inhaling steam can soothe your dry cough. If your symptoms worsen or last more than a week, please see a doctor for proper evaluation and treatment.
