Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's consists of Calcitriol (vitamin D3), Calcium citrate (mineral), and Soy isoflavones. Calcitriol is a man-made form of Vitamin D3 that treats calcium deficiency. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood, helping to improve the absorption rate of calcium from the stomach. Calcium citrate is a mineral used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Soy isoflavones prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis and improve bone strength.
Take Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience nausea, vomiting, upset stomach and constipation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Before taking Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's, inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Also, inform your doctor about your medical history and other medications you are currently taking to rule out any potential negative effects. Drug-Drug Interactions: Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's may interact with antibiotics (e.g. doxycycline, levofloxacin), drugs used to treat bone loss (e.g. alendronate), anti-cancer drugs (e.g. estramustine), thyroid drugs (e.g. levothyroxine), high cholesterol-lowering medicines (e.g. cholestyramine, colestipol), weight-loss drugs (e.g. orlistat), iron supplement (e.g. ferrous sulfate), calcium supplements (e.g. ergocalciferol, cholecalciferol), painkillers (e.g. aspirin) and antidepressants (e.g. duloxetine).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid spinach, rhubarb, bran, and whole grains with Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's, as they may reduce calcium absorption.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Avoid taking Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's if you have hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), hyperparathyroidism (overactive parathyroid glands), Zollinger Ellison syndrome, kidney stones and hypercalciuria (excess calcium in the urine), impaired kidney function or vitamin D toxicity. Also, Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's is contraindicated in patients on a low-sodium diet.

You are not recommended to take Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's if you have hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood) as it may worsen the condition. However, calcium and vitamin D levels may be checked before starting treatment with Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's.
If used in large doses, Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's may cause hypercalciuria (excess calcium in the urine). Therefore, to prevent such conditions, take Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's in doses and for the duration as advised by a doctor.
You are not recommended to take Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's with levothyroxine as co-administration of these two medicines simultaneously may reduce levothyroxine's effectiveness. However, if you are supposed to take both medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 4 hours between taking Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's and levothyroxine.
Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's is not recommended for patients having kidney stones as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have kidney stones or other kidney problems before taking Caltheta Iso Tablet 15's.
