About Cartigen Capsule

Cartigen Capsule is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a condition in which the joints are affected. It occurs as a result of the disintegration and breakdown of the cushioning tissue and cartilage surrounding the joints.

Cartigen Capsule contains Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride, a chondroprotective agent that alleviates the pain and swelling occurring in joints and muscles by stimulating the production of proteoglycans, a necessary component required to synthesise bone-shielding cartilage.

In some cases, Cartigen Capsule may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or constipation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your physician if these side effects persist or worsen.

Avoid using Cartigen Capsule if allergic to it. Cartigen Capsule is not recommended for use in case of shellfish allergy. What if I have taken an overdose of Cartigen Capsule

Never take more than the suggested dose. Overdose of Cartigen Capsule may cause stomach pain or swelling, nausea, constipation, numbness or tingling in the skin, vomiting and weak or heavy legs or feet. Seek immediate medical help if you suspect that you might have taken an overdose.
