About Crystacal Syrup
Crystacal Syrup is a nutritional supplement primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. It effectively treats various conditions, such as vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (characterised by weak bones), latent tetany (a muscle disease associated with low blood calcium levels), and rickets or osteomalacia (a condition characterised by softening of bones due to low calcium levels).
Crystacal Syrup consists of calcium and calcitriol (vitamin D). Crystacal Syrup works by increasing calcium and vitamin D levels in the body, thereby supporting the essential functions necessary for bone formation and maintenance. Together, they help prevent bone loss, support bone growth, and reduce muscle cramps caused by low calcium levels.
Crystacal Syrup is likely safe to use. In some cases, it may cause side effects like constipation and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.
Take Crystacal Syrup as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You can take Crystacal Syrup with or without food. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose of Crystacal Syrup . Do not chew, bite, or crush the medicine.
Inform your physician if you are allergic to Crystacal Syrup . Let your doctor know if you have any liver/kidney disease, heart disease, kidney stones and hypervitaminosis D (having too much vitamin D) hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart, kidney, liver, or blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, or malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrients from food) before starting Crystacal Syrup . Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Crystacal Syrup .

Crystacal Syrup belongs to the class of nutritional supplements used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels.
Crystacal Syrup contains Elemental Calcium and Calcitriol. Elemental Calcium is a mineral that is used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Calcitriol is a man-made form of Vitamin D3 and treats calcium deficiency with hypoparathyroidism (the decreased activity of parathyroid glands) and metabolic bone diseases in people with chronic kidney failure. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the stomach.
You are not recommended to take Crystacal Syrup if you have hypervitaminosis D (high levels of vitamin D in the blood) as it may worsen the condition. However, please consult a doctor before using Crystacal Syrup .
You are not recommended to take Crystacal Syrup with levothyroxine as co-administration of these two medicines at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of levothyroxine. However, if you are supposed to take both the medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 4 hours between taking Crystacal Syrup and levothyroxine.
Yes, Crystacal Syrup may interfere with certain laboratory tests, including cholesterol tests and may give false test results. Therefore, it is recommended to inform your doctor or lab technician that you are taking Crystacal Syrup before undergoing any tests.
Crystacal Syrup may cause kidney stones due to the accumulation of high levels of calcium when used for a prolonged time. Therefore, please consult a doctor before taking Crystacal Syrup if you have any kidney problems or a history of kidney stones.
