Extrafer Tablet is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia and nutritional deficiencies. It contains Iron, Folic acid, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin), and Zinc. Iron is an essential body mineral the red blood cells require to carry oxygen to other body cells and tissues. Directions for Use

• Extrafer Tablet should be taken on an empty for better absorption. However, if stomach upset occurs, take it with food. What if I have taken an overdose of Extrafer Tablet

Do not exceed the recommended dose. An overdose of Extrafer Tablet can be harmful and may cause adverse events. If you take more than suggested dose accidentally, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or call doctor right away. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Coadministration of Extrafer Tablet and Fluorouracil may increase the effects of Fluorouracil and increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anaemia (lack of blood), infections, and nerve damage.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between Extrafer Tablet and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.
