About Folgel Capsule

Folgel Capsule belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements, primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Medicinal Benefits

Folgel Capsule is used to treat nutritional deficiencies and contains Folic acid and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Folic acid prevents and treats folate deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia (high blood levels of amino acid, homocysteine). It is used to treat anemia (lack of red blood cells). When taken by pregnant women, Folic acid prevents miscarriage and neural tube defects in infants. Docosahexaenoic acid acts as an energy source and reduces the risk of heart diseases by lowering triglycerides and raising good cholesterol levels.

  • Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, liver and kidney, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, and salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables, such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.

  • Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, liver (avoid this during pregnancy), and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.

  • Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.

  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

  • Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • Cut down on sugar, salt and processed foods.

  • Drink plenty of water.
