About Gfer-XT Capsule

Directions for Use

• Gfer-XT Capsule can be taken with or without food as directed by your doctor.• It is advised to take Gfer-XT Capsule once daily; however, follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and duration of treatment.• Swallow Gfer-XT Capsule as a whole with a glass of water.• Do not break, crush or chew it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Gfer-XT Capsule

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Gfer-XT Capsule may include stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Although there is a possible interaction between Gfer-XT Capsule and Capecitabine, you can use these medicines together if prescribed by the doctor. However, if you experience paleness of skin, diarrhea, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body aches, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling sensation in the hands and feet, contact a doctor. Although taking Cholestyramine and Gfer-XT Capsule together can result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by a doctor. However, if you experience Constipation, Diarrhea, Stomach pain, Nausea, or Loss of appetite, consult a doctor. Do not stop using any medications without consulting a doctor.

Coadministration of Gfer-XT Capsule and Carbamazepine may reduce the blood levels of Gfer-XT Capsule.

Coadministration of Gfer-XT Capsule and Fluorouracil may increase the effects of Fluorouracil and increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anaemia (lack of blood), infections, and nerve damage.

Although there is a possible interaction between Gfer-XT Capsule and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.

Coadministration of dolutegravir with Gfer-XT Capsule can reduce the efficacy of dolutegravir.

Although taking Dolutegravir and Gfer-XT Capsule together can possibly result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take dolutegravir either two hours before or six hours after taking a dose of Gfer-XT Capsule. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.

Gfer-XT Capsule is a nutritional supplement that consists of Zinc Sulphate, Ferrous Ascorbate and Folic acid. It works by restoring iron levels and boosting the body&amp;#039;s production of red blood cells (RBC), thus treating iron deficiency anaemia.

It is recommended not to take Gfer-XT Capsule along with tea, coffee, milk, and eggs since they might interfere with iron absorption from Gfer-XT Capsule .

Gfer-XT Capsule is best absorbed if taken on an empty stomach. But in some patients, Gfer-XT Capsule may cause gastrointestinal disturbances like stomach upset or constipation when taken without food. So, please take it as suggested by your doctor if you have stomach problems.

Antacids may interfere with the absorption of iron. Hence, taking Gfer-XT Capsule two hours before or four hours after taking antacids is advised.

Zinc Sulphate may decrease the absorption of antibiotics, thereby reducing their effectiveness. Maintaining at least an hour gap between Gfer-XT Capsule and other antibiotics is advised.
