About Imax XT Tablet

Imax XT Tablet belongs to a class of medications called haematinics, primarily used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Iron deficiency occurs mainly due to a poor diet or poor dietary absorption.

Imax XT Tablet contains Elemental Iron and Folic acid. Elemental iron helps with the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid helps boost the production of red blood cells (RBCs) in the body. Together, Imax XT Tablet helps treat anaemia.

Imax XT Tablet may cause side effects like constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea in some cases. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Imax XT Tablet works by boosting the production of red blood cells (RBC) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.

What if I have taken an overdose of Imax XT Tablet

Do not take more than the recommended dose of Imax XT Tablet as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include vomiting, severe stomach pain, shallow breathing, bloody diarrhea, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, weak and rapid pulse, blue lips, pale skin, and seizures (fits). If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

  • Do not take Imax XT Tablet if you are allergic to Imax XT Tablet , iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Imax XT Tablet .
  • Tell your doctor about all the medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, and herbal products.
  • Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.
  • Imax XT Tablet  is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and continued for up to 3 months of pregnancy.
  • Also, if giving Imax XT Tablet  to a child, a child specialist's dose will be decided as an overdose of Imax XT Tablet in children can lead to deadly poisoning.
  • If you have got any part of the stomach removed, please inform your doctor before taking Imax XT Tablet .

Coadministration of Imax XT Tablet and Fluorouracil may increase the effects of Fluorouracil and increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anaemia (lack of blood), infections, and nerve damage.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between Imax XT Tablet and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.

It is recommended not to take Imax XT Tablet with tea, coffee, milk, or eggs, as the body may absorb less iron from supplements when taken together, which may reduce $ name's effectiveness.

Imax XT Tablet is best absorbed if taken on an empty stomach. But in some patients, it can cause an upset stomach when taken on an empty stomach. So, please take it as your doctor suggested if you have an upset stomach.
