Key Benefits
The INSUPen Pro is used for delivering precise doses of insulin to manage diabetes. It is compatible with Biocon's 3 mL insulin cartridges and ensures accurate, safe administration from 1 to 60 units per injection.
Your insulin pen should be used by choosing your prescribed dosage, attaching a new needle, injecting the insulin subcutaneously as advised by your healthcare professional, and then safely disposing of the needle after use.
There are two types of insulin pens: disposable pens which come pre-filled with insulin and reusable pens like INSUPen that need refilling with an insulin cartridge.
To change the insulin pen cartridge, remove the pen cap, detach the cartridge holder, push back the plunger rod, insert the new cartridge, and reattach the cartridge holder securely. Ensure the cartridge is not damaged.
If you lose your INSUPen Pro , immediately contact your healthcare professional for guidance. Carry a spare pen and insulin as a backup to ensure uninterrupted diabetes management.
Using an insulin pen is typically not painful. Most users experience minimal discomfort due to the use of fine, sterile needles. Proper technique and needle size recommended by your healthcare professional can further reduce discomfort.
