About Irotor-XT Suspension
Irotor-XT Suspension is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various tissues throughout the body.
Irotor-XT Suspension is a combination of two drugs: Ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. Irotor-XT Suspension works by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCs) and haemoglobin (a protein) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs is produced in the body so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.
Not everyone who is taking Irotor-XT Suspension will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Irotor-XT Suspension do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. Although there is a possible interaction between Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.
Trimethoprim may decrease the blood levels and effects of Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml.

Although there is a possible interaction between Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml and Trimethoprim, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop using any medications without consulting your doctor.
Coadministration of Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml and Cholestyramine may interfere with the absorption of Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml.

Although taking Cholestyramine and Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml together can result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by a doctor. However, if you experience Constipation, Diarrhea, Stomach pain, Nausea, or Loss of appetite, consult a doctor. Do not stop using any medications without consulting a doctor.
Coadministration of Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml and Carbamazepine may reduce the blood levels of Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml.

Co-administration of Irotor-XT Suspension 200 ml with Capecitabine may increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anemia, infections, and nerve damage.
