Nexonac Gel 30 gm belongs to the class of medications called topical analgesics primarily used to relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and osteoarthritis. It effectively reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness, thereby improving your ability to move and flex the joint. Osteoarthritis is a long term musculoskeletal joint disorder that causes damage to the cartilage and surrounding tissues characterized by pain, swelling, stiffness, and loss of function.
Nexonac Gel 30 gm contains diclofenac, linseed oil, methyl salicylate, and menthol. Diclofenac and methyl salicylate work by lowering hormones in the body that cause inflammation and pain. Linseed oil inhibits inflammatory mediators like leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation. Menthol is a soothing and cooling agent which provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels. Together, Nexonac Gel 30 gm helps relieve mild to moderate pain in musculoskeletal and joint conditions.
Nexonac Gel 30 gm is only for external use. Use Nexonac Gel 30 gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as itching, irritation, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. The majority of these side effects do not necessitate medical attention and will subside gradually over time. However, if you are experiencing these side effects regularly, you should consult your doctor.
Please do not use Nexonac Gel 30 gm without doctor advice if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Nexonac Gel 30 gm in more than prescribed doses or longer duration as it may cause adverse effects. Nexonac Gel 30 gm is a combination of four drugs: Diclofenac, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate, and Menthol. Diclofenac and Methyl Salicylate are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Linseed oil possesses an anti-inflammatory action that inhibits inflammatory mediators like leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation. Menthol is a soothing and cooling agent which provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Nexonac Gel 30 gm helps relieve mild to moderate pain in musculoskeletal and joint conditions.
Do not take Nexonac Gel 30 gm if you are allergic to any of its contents. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and all the medicines you take to rule out any side effects. Do not use Nexonac Gel 30 gm if you experience asthma, urticaria or allergy after taking a pain killer. Drug-Drug Interactions: Nexonac Gel 30 gm may have interaction with pain killer medicines (e.g. aspirin), blood thinners or anticoagulant medicines (e.g. warfarin), and medicines used for the treatment of venous thrombosis (e.g. anisindione, dicumarol).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have had asthma, urticaria (a skin reaction), renal dysfunction or impairment, heart failure, hypertension, and coagulation problems.
It is unknown whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Nexonac Gel 30 gm. However, it is advisable not to take or limit alcohol as a precautionary measure.
Nexonac Gel 30 gm should only be used under medical advice during the first six months of pregnancy. Nexonac Gel 30 gm must not be used during the last three months of pregnancy, as it could harm the unborn child or cause problems at delivery.
