Raricap L Suspension is used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Its deficiency occurs mainly due to a poor diet, poor food absorption, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). It contains Iron and folate, which help boost red blood cell (RBC) production. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so that each tissue in the body gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. It may cause side effects such as constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea in some cases. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

What if I have taken an overdose of Raricap L Suspension

Do not take more than the advised dose of Raricap L Suspension as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include vomiting, nausea, epigastric pain, rectal bleeding or vomiting of blood. If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

It is recommended not to take Raricap L Suspension along with tea, coffee, or milk, and even eggs as the body might absorb less iron supplements if you take them together, which may reduce the effectiveness of Raricap L Suspension .

Raricap L Suspension is best absorbed if taken on an empty stomach. But in some patients, it causes an upset stomach if taken empty stomach. So, please take it as suggested by your doctor if you have an upset stomach problem.

Folic acid is rich in various foods like broccoli, brussels sprouts, liver, spinach, and asparagus, while iron is found in dark-green leafy vegetables, fortified cereals, nuts, and dried fruit.
