About Raricap L Suspension

Raricap L Suspension is primarily used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) and iron deficiency. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues.

Raricap L Suspension is a combination of two drugs, namely: Ferrous calcium citrate (iron supplement) and folic acid (vitamin B9). Raricap L Suspension works by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body so that the body's tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.

Take Raricap L Suspension as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, stomach pain or a change in the colour of the stool. Most of these side effects of Raricap L Suspension do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

What if I have taken an overdose of Raricap L Suspension

Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it could lead to an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include severe stomach pain, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea, weak and rapid pulse, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, shallow breathing, blue lips, pale skin, and seizures.
