Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet is primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. It effectively treats various conditions, such as vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (characterised by weak bones), and latent tetany (a muscle disease associated with low blood calcium levels). Additionally, Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet is used to treat hyperparathyroidism (overactive parathyroid glands) and metabolic bone disease in people with chronic kidney disease, surgery, or other conditions.

Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet contains Calcitriol (Vitamin D3). Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the intestine.

In some cases, Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet can cause side effects like constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, mood changes, weakness, tiredness, fast or pounding heartbeat, bone/muscle pain, and headache. Most of these side effects of Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Take Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. • Postmenopausal osteoporosis: Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet strengthens bones and reduces the risk of fractures in women after menopause.
• Steroid-induced osteoporosis: Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet is used to prevent bone thinning in individuals taking long-term oral corticosteroids.
• Osteomalacia/Rickets: Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet helps to strengthen weak bones by enhancing calcium and phosphate absorption.
• Hypoparathyroidism: Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet manages low parathyroid hormone levels by regulating calcium levels.

• Take Ritocal CT 0.25mcg Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor.
