About RND Folica-OD Tablet
RND Folica-OD Tablet is used to treat or prevent anemia (lack of blood) caused by folic acid deficiency, anaemia in pregnancy, anaemia due to damaged red blood cells, anaemia in kidney dialysis patients. Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues.
RND Folica-OD Tablet contains Folic acid (a form of vitamin B9) that increases healthy red blood cell (RBC) production in the body and carries oxygen throughout the body.
You may experience certain side effects like nausea, black stool, constipation, loss of appetite, bloating or flatulence (gas) in some cases. Most of these side effects of RND Folica-OD Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to RND Folica-OD Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using RND Folica-OD Tablet . RND Folica-OD Tablet should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor. - RND Folica-OD Tablet should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor.
- If you are breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using RND Folica-OD Tablet .
- Inform your doctor if you have pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12), a tumour or if you are receiving a stent in the heart or undergoing haemodialysis due to kidney failure, before taking RND Folica-OD Tablet .
- You are recommended to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 2 hours between taking RND Folica-OD Tablet and indigestion remedies such as antacids containing magnesium or aluminium and edible clay.
- Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any sugars as RND Folica-OD Tablet contains lactose.

Coadministration of RND Folica-OD Tablet and Carbamazepine may reduce the blood levels of RND Folica-OD Tablet.

Although there is a possible interaction between RND Folica-OD Tablet and Carbamazepine, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if your condition changes or you experience loss of seizure control, contact your doctor.
Coadministration of RND Folica-OD Tablet and Fluorouracil may increase the effects of Fluorouracil and increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anaemia (lack of blood), infections, and nerve damage.
How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between RND Folica-OD Tablet and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.
Sulfadiazine may decrease the blood levels and effects of RND Folica-OD Tablet.

Although there is a possible interaction between RND Folica-OD Tablet and Sulfadiazine, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor.
Trimethoprim may decrease the blood levels and effects of RND Folica-OD Tablet.
How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between RND Folica-OD Tablet and Trimethoprim, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop using any medications without consulting your doctor.
Co-administration of RND Folica-OD Tablet with Capecitabine may increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anemia, infections, and nerve damage.

Although there is a possible interaction between RND Folica-OD Tablet and Capecitabine, you can use these medicines together if prescribed by the doctor. However, if you experience paleness of skin, diarrhea, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body aches, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling sensation in the hands and feet, contact a doctor.
