FAQs

Sprofol Tablet belongs to the class of multivitamins, primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies.

Sprofol Tablet is a vitamin supplement and consists of L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6), and Mecobalamin (vitamin B12). When you lack these vitamins in your body, which cannot be recovered even with the food sources, Sprofol Tablet helps replenish these deficient levels. Collectively, Sprofol Tablet treats nutritional deficiencies.

Pyridoxal-5-phosphate may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen. Please make sure your doctor and the laboratory staff know that you take Sprofol Tablet before undergoing blood and urine examinations.

Avoid taking more than one multivitamin product concomitantly unless advised by the doctor. Taking similar nutritional supplements simultaneously can lead to a vitamin overdose or other serious side effects.

Antacids may interfere with the absorption of Sprofol Tablet . Hence, taking Sprofol Tablet two hours before or four hours after taking antacids is advised.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and follow your usual dosage.

The common side effects of Sprofol Tablet include nausea, stomach upset, and diarrhoea. If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Folic acid deficiency happens when your body does not get enough folate (vitamin B9), which is needed to make healthy red blood cells. This can lead to anaemia, causing extreme tiredness, low energy, muscle weakness, and pale skin. If left untreated, it can also lead to complications such as problems with the nervous system, heart issues, temporary infertility, and complications during pregnancy and birth defects. Chronic deficiency may also increase the risk of heart failure.

Sprofol Tablet should be used during pregnancy only when advised by your doctor. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning to conceive before taking Sprofol Tablet .

You should take Sprofol Tablet as recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended daily dose of vitamins and mineral supplements.
