Tugain 5% Topical Solution is used to treat alopecia (hair loss). Tugain 5% Topical Solution stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.

Tugain 5% Topical Solution contains Minoxidil, which widens the blood vessels and helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth.

Some common side effects of Tugain 5% Topical Solution include changes in the color/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. These side effects usually do not require medical attention. If the side effects persist, consult a doctor.
