DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is a combination medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of migraine, and any medical condition with concomitant nausea/vomiting and fever/pain. Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head, eyes, face, and neck. DOMPERIDONE+FLUNARIZINE+PARACETAMOL is a combination of three drugs, namely: Domperidone, flunarizine, and Paracetamol. Domperidone prevents nausea and vomiting symptoms by blocking certain receptors (like dopamine and serotonin) that stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone –CTZ) located in the brain. It also acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the upper gastrointestinal tract's motility and helps in decreasing the stomach emptying time. Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker that works by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels in the head thereby preventing migraine headache. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain.
