LERONLIMAB belongs to the group of monoclonal antibodies used in the prevention and treatment of respiratory illness caused by COVID-19. Coronavirus disease is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2. It can range from a mild cold to a serious form of pneumonia.
LERONLIMAB contains Leronlimab that works by binding to the virus and inhibiting the virus from attaching to the human receptor cell, thereby precluding its entry into the cells and arresting the further multiplication and progress of the disease.
A qualified healthcare professional will administer LERONLIMAB. Do not self-administer. LERONLIMAB may cause certain common side effects such as headache, rise in blood pressure and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist.
It is advisable to inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Keep your doctor informed if you suffer from any medical conditions or if you are taking medicines such as blood thinners, immunomodulators, oral corticosteroids, or immunosuppressants.
