Defcort 18 Tablet is used to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy in adults and children above 2 years of age. It contains Deflazacort, which inhibits the production of chemicals called cytokines responsible for inflammation. Some people may experience side effects such as nausea, chest pain, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, diarrhea and fast heartbeats. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Excess Fat Around The Waist

Eat a balanced diet with proteins, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables; avoid processed foods and excess sugar.
Practice physical activity for at least 30 minutes, such as cardio or strength training.
Consider intermittent fasting to help with fat reduction.
Maintain at least seven hours of sleep to prevent weight gain.
Manage stress with yoga, meditation, or deep breathing.
Limit alcohol and sugary drinks to reduce fat accumulation.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Stomach Ache

Drink water or other clear fluids.
To prevent worsening of pain, limit intake of tea, coffee, or alcohol.
Include bland foods like rice, toast, crackers, and rice in your diet.
Avoid lying down immediately after eating as it may cause indigestion or heartburn.
Avoid acidic and spicy food as it may cause indigestion.

Frequent Urination

Drink six to eight glasses of water per day to be healthy.
Healthy urinary habits can help minimize pollakiuria (frequent urinating).
Avoid liquids containing caffeine, artificial sweeteners, and soda, as they might cause bladder discomfort.
Add bladder-friendly foods such as omega-3 fatty acids, blueberries, and cranberries.
