Modalert 100 Tablet is used to improve wakefulness in adult patients with narcolepsy (excessive and uncontrollable daytime sleepiness). It contains Modafinil, which is responsible for improving narcolepsy and reducing the symptoms of the possibility of sleep attacks. It works by enhancing the amount of a chemical messenger known as dopamine in the brain which controls the sleep-wake cycle of our body. It reduces the reuptake of dopamine into nerves. It may cause side effects such as headache, diarrhoea, back pain, feeling anxious, nausea, trouble sleeping, feeling nervous, dizziness, stuffy nose, and upset stomach. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Modalert 100 MG is commonly used for conditions involving excessive daytime sleepiness, alertness problems, or certain sleep disorders. Even if it worked well previously, continuing it for a longer period should ideally be reviewed by your doctor because the need, dosage, blood pressure, sleep pattern, and possible side effects may change over time. Some people tolerate the medicine well, while others may develop headache, anxiety, fast heartbeat, reduced sleep, irritability, or increased blood pressure with prolonged use. Avoid increasing the dose on your own or using it regularly without follow-up. Good sleep habits, stress control, regular exercise, and limiting late-night screen use may also support better daytime alertness naturally. Inform your doctor if you have chest pain, severe anxiety, palpitations, mood changes, or disturbed sleep while using the medicine. I feel very sleepy throughout the day and tend to sleep for more than 12 hours daily, even though I am taking modafinil and armodafinil. What should I do?

If you continue to feel very sleepy despite taking modafinil or armodafinil, there may be another cause, such as a sleep disorder, medication resistance, or a different health issue. Please consult your doctor or a sleep specialist for a full evaluation, which may include sleep studies and a review of your medications and health conditions.
