Monurol Sachet 3 gm is used to treat or prevent bladder infections. It contains Fosfomycin, which decreases the attachment of bacteria to cells lining the urinary bladder, thereby preventing bladder infection. In some cases, you may experience side effects such as dizziness, headache, indigestion, and vulvovaginitis (swelling or infection of the vulva and vagina). Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

If you are supposed to take Monurol Sachet 3 gm and Balsalazide together, your doctor may adjust the dose or monitor you more frequently to use both medications safely.

If you are currently being treated with Monurol Sachet 3 gm or have been treated within the last 14 days, inform your doctor before receiving cholera vaccine, live. Avoid receiving cholera vaccine, live until at least 14 days after you complete your antibiotic therapy to ensure adequate vaccine response.
