  • Other antidiabetic medicines: Using PPG Met 0.2 Tablet together with insulin, sulfonylureas, or other blood sugar-lowering medicines may increase the risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar).
  • Beta-blockers: Certain heart and blood pressure medicines known as beta-blockers may mask some warning signs of low blood sugar, particularly a rapid heartbeat, making hypoglycaemia more difficult to recognise.
  • Iodinated contrast agents: Contrast dyes used during certain imaging procedures may increase the risk of kidney problems and metformin-associated lactic acidosis. Your doctor may advise temporarily stopping this medicine before and after the procedure.

PPG Met 0.2 Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
PPG Met 0.2 Tablet contains two antidiabetic drugs, namely: Voglibose and Metformin. Voglibose delays glucose absorption by inhibiting the intestinal enzymes, which break complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. Metformin works by reducing the sugar production by cells in the liver and delaying sugar absorption from the intestines. Together, PPG Met 0.2 Tablet helps treat type 2 diabetes.
There is no evidence of PPG Met 0.2 Tablet , causing weight loss. However, it may cause a loss of appetite, leading to weight loss. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
PPG Met 0.2 Tablet may increase the risk of low blood sugar levels, especially when combined with alcohol intake, increased exercise, or skipping or delaying snacks or meals. However, if you experience any signs of low blood sugar, such as dizziness, nausea, light-headedness, dehydration or fainting, please consult a doctor.
You are not recommended to stop taking PPG Met 0.2 Tablet on your own, as discontinuing PPG Met 0.2 Tablet suddenly may cause an increase in blood sugar levels or worsen the condition.
