Thyrox 100 mcg Tablet is used to treat hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). It contains Thyroxine sodium, which replaces or provides more thyroid hormone in the body when the body is unable to naturally produce enough thyroid hormone (Thyroxine) to meet the requirements of the body. It may cause side effects such as headache, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, sweating, muscle cramps, shaking (usually of hands) and feeling restless or excitable, or problems sleeping. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Despite taking care of my diet, my weight and thyroid levels are still not controlled. I feel lazy all day and have pain in my legs, especially in my feet. Kindly suggest the way forward?

Since your thyroid levels and weight are not well controlled, you may need a repeat thyroid test (TSH, T3, T4) and possible dose adjustment of Thyrox after consulting your doctor. Leg and foot pain with fatigue can also be linked to uncontrolled thyroid, vitamin D/B12 deficiency, or BP issues, so basic blood tests are advisable. Regular walking, strength exercises, proper sleep, and a balanced high-protein diet can further help improve energy and weight control.

I've been taking Thyroxine sodium 100 and calcium tablets for the past three months, but my knee, ankle, and back still hurt regularly. What can I do?
