Folired Xt Tablet is used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Its deficiency occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). It contains Iron and Folic acid, which work by boosting the production of red blood cells (RBC) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. It may cause side effects such as constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea in some cases. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Folired Xt Tablet is best taken on an empty stomach for improved absorption. If it causes stomach discomfort, it can be taken with food.

Swallow Folired Xt Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, chew, or break it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Folired Xt Tablet

Do not take more than the recommended dose of Folired Xt Tablet as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include vomiting, severe stomach pain, shallow breathing, bloody diarrhea, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, weak and rapid pulse, blue lips, pale skin, and seizures (fits). If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Folired Xt Tablet if you are allergic to Folired Xt Tablet , iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Folired Xt Tablet .
Tell your doctor about all the medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, and herbal products.
Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.
Folired Xt Tablet is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and continued for up to 3 months of pregnancy.
Also, if giving Folired Xt Tablet to a child, a child specialist's dose will be decided as an overdose of Folired Xt Tablet in children can lead to deadly poisoning.
If you have got any part of the stomach removed, please inform your doctor before taking Folired Xt Tablet .

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

Eat a healthy diet, especially green leafy vegetables, and do regular physical exercise.
Limit the consumption of alcohol, junk food items from outside and stick to freshly prepared home-cooked meals.
Increase intake of fruits in your diet, especially fruits which a rich in iron like pomegranate, citrus fruits.
Folired Xt Tablet can cause dry mouth, so drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.
