Relent Tablet is used to treat bronchitis, cough, and allergies. It contains Cetirizine and Ambroxol, which block the effects of a chemical messenger known as histamine, which is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Also, it thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. In some cases, you may experience tiredness, sleepiness, dry mouth, etc. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

I have a severe cold and my ears are blocked. I am taking Relent as prescribed, twice a day, and doing steam inhalation for the last 3 days, but I am not getting much relief. Should I continue the same medicine?

Persistent cold and blocked ears despite Relent and steam inhalation may indicate congestion, fluid in the ear, or sinus involvement. Continue following your doctor's advice, but consult them again if symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by pain or fever, as you may need additional treatment.

Co-administration of Relent Tablet with esketamine may increase the side effects.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Relent Tablet can be taken with esketamine if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the prescriber if you experience drowsiness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, and impairment in thinking, judgment, reaction speed, and motor coordination. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
