Flexon MR Tablet is used in the reduction of musculoskeletal pain and muscle spasm due to tissue injury, resolution of post surgery inflammation and oedema (swollen tissue with fluid). It works by blocking the effect of a chemical known as prostaglandin responsible for inducing pain and inflammation in our body. Also, it helps by blocking nerve impulses or pain sensations sent by the brain and causes the relaxation of muscles. It may cause side effects such as nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, drowsiness, dizziness, heartburn, stomach pain and restlessness. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Severe tooth pain may happen because of tooth decay, cavity, gum infection, wisdom tooth problems, tooth abscess, sensitivity, cracked tooth, or inflammation around the tooth nerve. The pain may worsen while eating, drinking hot or cold items, chewing, or lying down, and sometimes swelling or headache may also occur if infection is present. Pain-relieving medicines such as Paracetamol or anti-inflammatory pain medicines are commonly used for temporary relief, depending on your medical condition and stomach health. Warm saltwater rinses, avoiding very hot or cold foods, and keeping the mouth clean may also help reduce irritation. If swelling or infection is present, dental treatment and sometimes antibiotics may be needed after proper examination. Clove oil or cold compresses may provide short-term comfort in some people, but they do not treat the underlying dental problem. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gums because it may burn the tissue. Seek dental care if swelling develops, fever occurs, pus appears, or the pain becomes severe enough to disturb sleep or eating.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Flexon MR Tablet is shown to interact with various drugs. Some of them include pain killers (naproxen, aspirin, ibuprofen, tramadol, hydrocodone, oxycodone), lithium, anticancer/antimetabolites (methotrexate), blood thinner or anticoagulant (warfarin, coumadin, jantoven), blood pressure or heart medicine, nausea medicine (metoclopramide, domperidone), diuretic/water pills (thiazides, furosemide), a steroid medicine (prednisone), quinolones antibiotics (ciprofloxacin), respiratory medicines (theophyllines, ephedrine), cholesterol-reducing medicine (colestyramine) and antidepressants (duloxetine). These drugs may affect the working of Flexon MR Tablet and may alter its efficacy.

Drug-Food Interaction: Excessive intake of caffeine-containing food or drinks like coffee, tea, chocolate and some fizzy drinks should be avoided while taking Flexon MR Tablet . Taking them together may lead to drowsiness and dizziness and sleepiness. And also, consuming alcohol along with Flexon MR Tablet can cause excessive ingestion of alcohol and potentiate liver damage action of paracetamol. 

Drug-Disease Interaction: Flexon MR Tablet should not recommend for people having bleeding disorders, like haemophilia, von Willebrand disease or low blood platelets. Besides this, it should not be given to children suffering from influenza (flu) or chickenpox. It should also be avoided in case of the presence of gastric or duodenal ulcers.
