Metolyzin 2.5 mg Tablet 10's is used in the treatment of oedema (fluid retention) caused by kidney disease or heart failure. Additionally, it is also used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat high blood pressure. It contains Metolazone, which works by causing the kidneys to reduce the amount of water and salt in the body by increasing the amount of urine. Thereby, it helps reduce fluid retention and lowers blood pressure. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
