About Neptaz 200 mg Tablet

Neptaz 200 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of heart failure in adults and children above one year age. It helps to reduce the risk of death and hospitalisation in adults with chronic heart failure. Heart failure is a chronic condition in which the heart cannot pump blood as effectively as it should.

Neptaz 200 mg Tablet is a combination of medicines: valsartan and sacubitril. Valsartan blocks the effect of angiotensin II receptors, which constrict the blood vessels. Sacubitril works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels and making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all body parts. Together, Neptaz 200 mg Tablet helps in the treatment of heart failure.

Not everyone who is taking Neptaz 200 mg Tablet will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience specific common side effects, such as cough, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Take Neptaz 200 mg Tablet as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You can take Neptaz 200 mg Tablet with or without food. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose of Neptaz 200 mg Tablet. Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. You are advised to take Neptaz 200 mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.

Inform your physician if you are allergic to Neptaz 200 mg Tablet. Do not take Neptaz 200 mg Tablet with ACE inhibitors (such as captopril or enalapril) since the risk of side effects may increase. Do not take Neptaz 200 mg Tablet for at least 36 hours before or after taking an ACE inhibitor drug. Inform your doctor before taking Neptaz 200 mg Tablet if you have kidney or liver problems, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of hereditary angioedema (rapid edema or swelling beneath the area of skin).
