Nicip Cold & Flu Tablet is used to treat the symptoms of the common cold. It also helps treat fever and aches associated with the common cold. It contains Caffeine, Cetirizine, Nimesulide, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Cetirizine blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Phenylephrine narrows the blood vessels; this helps relieve congestion. Paracetamol and Nimesulide help ease pain. Caffeine decreases the sleepiness caused by cetirizine. Together, Nicip Cold & Flu Tablet helps in treating the symptoms of the common cold.
I am having a fever with headache, chills, and a throat infection. What could be causing this, and which medicine can help me feel better?

Fever with headache, chills, and throat infection is most often due to a viral infection like the flu or sometimes a bacterial throat infection. These infections can cause body aches, weakness, and throat pain along with fever. Chills usually happen when your body temperature is rising. Treatment depends on the cause. Medicines to reduce fever and throat pain or antibiotics (if it is bacterial) may be used, but they should be taken only if advised by your doctor after proper evaluation. Taking antibiotics on your own is not recommended, as many throat infections are viral and improve without them. You can feel better with simple care. Take rest, drink plenty of warm fluids, and do saltwater gargles to soothe the throat. Steam inhalation can help if there is congestion. Eat light, soft foods and avoid cold items. If the fever is high, lasts more than a few days, or you have severe throat pain or difficulty swallowing, it is important to consult a doctor for proper treatment.
I've had a fever, cough, and cold for the past three days. However, it happens every two months. Greetings, Dr. He is now taking medication.

Repeated fever, cough, and cold every 2?3 months is often due to recurrent viral infections or low immunity, sometimes linked with Allergic Rhinitis. Continue your current medicines as advised, take rest, drink warm fluids, and do steam inhalation. Improve immunity with a balanced diet, good sleep, and regular exercise, and avoid dust or cold exposure. If episodes are frequent or severe, consult a doctor for further evaluation and possible preventive treatment.
My daughter has a fever, a cough, and an elevated heart rate. Since I left town yesterday afternoon, my family has been unable to visit any doctors. Please advise what I should do for her.

Fever with cough and a fast heart rate in a child can happen with infections like Viral Fever, but you should monitor her closely. Give Paracetamol in the correct dose for fever, keep her well hydrated, and ensure rest. Check her temperature regularly and keep her in a comfortable environment. If the heart rate is very fast even when fever reduces, or if she has breathing difficulty, persistent high fever, vomiting, or becomes drowsy, seek urgent medical care as soon as possible.
He hasn't been able to hear well for the past ten days, and the doctor says it might be a cold. He also has more trouble in the morning.

Reduced hearing for 10 days during a cold is often due to fluid or blockage in the ear (like Eustachian Tube Dysfunction or middle ear fluid), which can feel worse in the morning. Usually it improves as the cold settles. Steam inhalation, nasal saline drops, and avoiding forceful nose blowing can help. If hearing does not improve in a few days, or there is ear pain or fever, consult a doctor for proper ear examination and treatment.

Sweating, feeling cold (chills), and fever with neck discomfort are often signs of a viral or bacterial infection such as Viral Fever or sometimes throat/neck gland infection. Take rest, drink plenty of fluids, and use Paracetamol for fever and body discomfort. Monitor your temperature, and if you develop severe neck stiffness, high fever, vomiting, or symptoms lasting more than 2?3 days, consult a doctor promptly for proper evaluation.
