Nodosis Tablet is used to treat acid indigestion, heartburn, sour stomach, and stomach upset. It may also be prescribed to make the blood or urine less acidic in certain conditions. It contains Sodium bicarbonate, which helps neutralise the acidic pH in the stomach. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as dry mouth, urinating more than usual, and increased thirst. Inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions.

My father feels very weak. Could this be a symptom of paralysis? He is currently taking Nodosis Tablet, Amlopres-5 Tablet, Shelcal-500 Tablet, Rocaltrol 0.25 mcg Capsule, Atrovast-40 Tablet, Ecosprin 75 Tablet, Clopitab Tablet, and Thyrox 100 Tablet. His creatinine level is 2.2, sodium is 130, haemoglobin is 11.5, and his blood pressure is 140/86. Please advise us on what we should do.

Your father's weakness may be caused by several factors, not just paralysis. His high creatinine, low sodium, anaemia, and elevated blood pressure may be contributing factors. Do not stop any of his medicines. Arrange an urgent appointment with his doctor to review his health condition and current medications to determine the exact cause of his weakness.

How does the drug interact with Nodosis Tablet:
Co-administration of Nodosis Tablet and Dolutegravir reduces the levels of Dolutegravir, resulting in reduced effectiveness.

How to manage the interaction:
Although taking Dolutegravir and Nodosis Tablet together can result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience symptoms like fever, chills, diarrhea, sore throat, muscle aches, red or inflamed skin, and pain or burning during urination, contact your doctor immediately. Do not discontinue any medications without consulting your doctor.
