Prescription Medicine

Otobex Ear Drops 5 ml contains Beclomethasone (corticosteroid), Clotrimazole (antifungal), Lidocaine or lignocaine (local anaesthetic), and Gentamicin (antibiotic) used to treat ear infections. Beclomethasone inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby reducing the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections. Clotrimazole damages the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi. Lidocaine decreases pain sensation by preventing pain signals from nerves to the brain. Gentamicin inhibits the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it treats infections of the ear.
