About Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet
Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes. Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet is not indicated to treat diabetic ketoacidosis or type-1 diabetes mellitus.
Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of Saxagliptin and Dapagliflozin. Saxagliptin enhances glucose-mediated insulin secretion. Thus, it reduces fasting and post-prandial blood sugar concentrations. Dapagliflozin removes excess sugar from the body via urine.
In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as urinary tract infection, hypoglycaemia, upper respiratory tract infection, and dyslipidaemia. You are advised to consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Avoid taking Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established.
