About Vinves 100 Tablet

Vinves 100 Tablet is used in the treatment of heart failure in adults and children above one year age. It helps to reduce the risk of death and hospitalisation in adults with chronic heart failure. Heart failure is a chronic condition in which the heart cannot pump blood as effectively as it should.

Vinves 100 Tablet is a combination of medicines: valsartan and sacubitril. Valsartan blocks the effect of angiotensin II receptors, which constrict the blood vessels. Sacubitril works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels and making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all body parts. Together, Vinves 100 Tablet helps in the treatment of heart failure.

Not everyone who is taking Vinves 100 Tablet will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience specific common side effects, such as cough, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Take Vinves 100 Tablet as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You can take Vinves 100 Tablet with or without food. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose of Vinves 100 Tablet . Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. You are advised to take Vinves 100 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.

Inform your physician if you are allergic to Vinves 100 Tablet . Do not take Vinves 100 Tablet with ACE inhibitors (such as captopril or enalapril) since the risk of side effects may increase. Do not take Vinves 100 Tablet for at least 36 hours before or after taking an ACE inhibitor drug. Inform your doctor before taking Vinves 100 Tablet if you have kidney or liver problems, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of hereditary angioedema (rapid edema or swelling beneath the area of skin).

What if I have taken an overdose of Vinves 100 Tablet

Take Vinves 100 Tablet only as prescribed by the physician. Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it could lead to an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fainting, and hypotension (low blood pressure). If you experience these symptoms or suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Drug Warnings

Avoid taking Vinves 100 Tablet if you are allergic to it.
Keep your doctor informed if you have kidney or liver diseases.
Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure when standing) may occur, so patients using Vinves 100 Tablet should get up slowly and carefully.

Inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking, including aliskiren (a medication used to treat high blood pressure), any other heart or blood pressure medications, lithium, and mineral supplements that contain potassium.
Inform your doctor if you feel light-headed or have little or no urination, rapid weight gain, or swelling in your hands, feet, or ankles after taking Vinves 100 Tablet .
A prolonged intake of Vinves 100 Tablet can cause an altered potassium level; therefore, regular monitoring of potassium levels is required. Vinves 100 Tablet is not recommended for use in infants below one year of age.
It is always essential to check for the expiry of the medicine. Discard the medicine if it reaches the expiry date.
