I have very dry skin, dandruff, and excessive hair fall. What could be the reason, and how can I manage these problems effectively?

Dry skin, dandruff, and excessive hair fall can happen due to several reasons, including poor nutrition, stress, lack of sleep, dehydration, harsh shampoos, excessive hair treatments, weather changes, hormonal imbalance, vitamin deficiencies, or scalp conditions such as Seborrheic Dermatitis. Dandruff and scalp inflammation can weaken the hair roots and increase hair fall over time, while dry skin may worsen itching and irritation. To manage these problems, try using a mild anti-dandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, or selenium sulfide two to three times a week, and avoid washing the hair with very hot water because it can increase dryness. Applying a light moisturizer for dry skin and using mild, fragrance-free soaps may also help reduce skin irritation. Eating a balanced diet rich in protein, iron, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, zinc, nuts, fruits, vegetables, eggs, and milk products is important for healthy hair and skin. Drink enough water, sleep properly, and reduce stress because emotional stress and poor lifestyle habits can increase hair fall. Avoid excessive use of hair colors, heat styling, harsh chemical products, and frequent scratching of the scalp. Gentle oil massage may help dryness in some people, but very oily products should be avoided if dandruff is severe. If hair fall becomes excessive, patchy, or is associated with weight changes, fatigue, or severe itching, it is important to consult a dermatologist because blood tests for anemia, thyroid problems, or vitamin deficiencies may be needed. With proper scalp care, nutrition, and treatment, dandruff and hair fall usually improve gradually over time.
