Flylax B 5mg Tablet is used to treat constipation. It may also be used to clean the intestines before a bowel surgery or examination. It contains Bisacodyl, which works by increasing intestinal movements, thereby facilitating stool passage. It speeds up stool movements by stimulating bowel muscles, softens the stools and makes it easier to pass. Thus, it helps treat constipation. In some cases, it may cause certain common side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, and abdominal pain. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Flylax B 5mg Tablet का उपयोग कब्ज के इलाज के लिए किया जाता है। कब्ज का अर्थ है अनियमित मल त्याग जिसमें मल अक्सर सूखा, दर्दनाक और निकालने में कठिन होता है। कब्ज वाले व्यक्ति को एक सप्ताह में तीन से कम बार मल त्याग होता है। आंत्र शल्य चिकित्सा या जांच से पहले आंतों को साफ करने के लिए भी Flylax B 5mg Tablet का उपयोग किया जा सकता है।

  • Drink water or other clear fluids.
  • To prevent worsening of pain, limit intake of tea, coffee, or alcohol.
  • Include bland foods like rice, toast, crackers, and rice in your diet.
  • Avoid lying down immediately after eating as it may cause indigestion or heartburn.
  • Avoid acidic and spicy food as it may cause indigestion.

  • Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
  • Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.
  • Opt for bland, easily digestible foods like crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, and applesauce.
  • Avoid certain foods that can trigger nausea, such as fatty, greasy, spicy, and smelly foods.

How does the drug interact with Flylax B 5mg Tablet:
Co-administration of Flylax B 5mg Tablet and Azithromycin together can increase the chance of a serious abnormal heart rhythm.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Flylax B 5mg Tablet can be taken with Azithromycin if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the doctor if you develop sudden dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, breathing difficulty, or heart palpitations, weakness, tiredness, drowsiness, confusion, tingling, numbness, muscle pain, cramps, nausea, or vomiting. Do not discontinue the medications without consulting a doctor.

How does the drug interact with Flylax B 5mg Tablet:
Co-administration of Flylax B 5mg Tablet with Sodium sulfate may raise the risk of ischemic colitis (an inflammatory condition caused by reduced blood flow to the colon due to narrowed or blocked blood vessels) or ulcers.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Flylax B 5mg Tablet can be taken with Sodium sulfate only if prescribed by the doctor. Inform the doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms. Do not stop taking medications without a doctor's advice.
