It works by neutralising excess stomach acid, preventing the accumulation and formation of gas and facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as constipation, loss of appetite, weakness and diarrhoea. Before taking this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions.
