Abevia-N Tablet is used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The detailed uses of Abevia-N Tablet are as follows:

• Treats COPD: Abevia-N Tablet helps to manage COPD symptoms by thinning mucus and reducing airway inflammation. This improves lung function and eases breathing difficulties.
• Respiratory Relief: Abevia-N Tablet provides relief from respiratory issues like bronchitis and asthma, making it easier to breathe.
• Mucus Clearance: Abevia-N Tablet helps to thin and clear mucus from airways, easing breathing and improving lung function.
• Cough Relief: Abevia-N Tablet relieves coughs caused by colds or respiratory infections, making breathing easier and more comfortable.
• Anti-inflammatory Effects: Abevia-N Tablet may reduce airway inflammation, helping to alleviate swelling and irritation for better respiratory health.

• Abevia-N Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine. Acebrophylline belongs to the class of bronchodilators with additional mucolytic properties, and acetylcysteine belongs to the class of mucolytic agents.
• Abevia-N Tablet breakdown the acid mucopolysaccharide fibers that make the mucus (sputum) thinner and less dense/viscous removing sputum efficiently by coughing.
• However, the viscosity of sputum remains low for as long as treatment is maintained. Together, they help to cough out easily and make breathing easier by opening airways.
• Abevia-N Tablet is also indicated for the regular treatment of moderate to severe COPD in patients who experience frequent symptoms and have a history of exacerbation.
• It reduces airway inflammation and prevents bronchospasm.

• Abevia-N Tablet can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may help reduce stomach upset.
• It is usually taken once daily, preferably in the evening, or as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow Abevia-N Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Eat foods rich in potassium, such as bananas, asparagus, oranges, potatoes, avocados, dark leafy greens, and beetroots. Potassium is important for lung function, and a potassium deficiency may cause breathing problems.
• Drink plenty of fluids every day to thin mucus, which makes it easier for coughing out.
• Maintain a diet that includes complex carbohydrates such as lentils, beans, barley, oats, quinoa, bran, peas and potatoes with skin.
• Limit or avoid the intake of caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee, soda, and energy drinks like Red Bull.
• Eat protein-rich foods such as meat, fish (particularly salmon, sardines and mackerel), eggs and poultry.
• Exercise regularly to strengthen your breathing muscles and boost your immune system. Learning breathing exercises will help you move more air in and out of your lungs.
• Quit smoking as it may reduce the effectiveness of the Abevia-N Tablet and irritate the lungs, worsening breathing problems.

• If you are allergic to Abevia-N Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
• Severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome (a serious and rare disorder of skin and mucus membranes) or toxic epidermal necrolysis (skin blistering or skin peeling) have been reported in some patients.
• If you notice any skin rash worsening with mucosal lesions or blisters, stop taking Abevia-N Tablet and contact your doctor immediately.
• Do not take Abevia-N Tablet if you have a heart rhythm disorder that causes fast heartbeats.
• Avoid taking Abevia-N Tablet if you have low blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, hemodynamic instability (unstable blood pressure), a heart attack, or kidney or liver diseases.
• If you have hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), irregular heartbeats, viral infections, heart failure, asthma, high blood pressure, fits, gastric or duodenal ulcers, heart diseases, or kidney or liver insufficiency, inform your doctor before taking Abevia-N Tablet .
• Abevia-N Tablet is not recommended for children under 14.
• Regular monitoring of potassium levels is recommended while taking Abevia-N Tablet as it may cause low potassium levels in the blood.
• Abevia-N Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy.
• If you are breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before taking Abevia-N Tablet .
