Acivir-800 DT Tablet is used to treat viral infections. It plays a vital role in treating cold sores (an inflamed blister in or near the mouth), genital herpes (a common sexually transmitted infection), herpes zoster (a viral infection that causes a painful rash) and chickenpox.

Acivir-800 DT Tablet contains Aciclovir, which is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells by acting on their DNA, resulting in decreased viral overload.

In some cases, you may experience headaches, feeling dizzy, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, and skin sensitivity to sunlight. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

• Take Acivir-800 DT Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor.

• Swallow it as a whole with water.
• Do not crush, break or chew it.

• Acivir-800 DT Tablet may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting when you get up too quickly from a lying position, especially when you start taking Acivir-800 DT Tablet, so please get up gradually.
• Do not drive a car or operate any machinery which requires concentration, as Acivir-800 DT Tablet may cause dizziness.
• Please do not take Acivir-800 DT Tablet if you have ever developed a rash due to fever.
• If you have a weak immune system, please inform your doctor before taking Acivir-800 DT Tablet, as a dose adjustment may be required.
• Inform your doctor about all other OTC medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.
