About Almity Tablet
Almity Tablet is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who cannot get sufficient calcium from their diets. Almity Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, such as osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), hypoparathyroidism (low levels of parathyroid hormone), and latent tetany (a muscle disease with low blood calcium levels).
Almity Tablet contains Elemental Calcium that works by increasing calcium levels in the blood. It provides essential nutrients necessary for bone formation and maintenance.
Take Almity Tablet as advised by the doctor. In some cases, you may experience nausea, increased thirst, increased urination, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. Most of these side effects of Almity Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Almity Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take Almity Tablet as advised by your doctor. Almity Tablet should be used in children only if recommended by a doctor. Avoid taking Almity Tablet if you have high calcium levels in blood or urine, severe kidney problems, kidney stones or galactosaemia (a rare genetic disorder). You are recommended to maintain a time gap of minimum 3 hours between Almity Tablet and fluoride preparations or tetracycline antibiotics.

Co-administration of Almity Tablet and Digoxin may increase the calcium levels may increase the effects of Digoxin
How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Almity Tablet can be taken with Digoxin if prescribed by the doctor. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Almity Tablet may interfere with the absorption of Raltegravir and reduce its effectiveness.
How to manage the interaction:
Taking Almity Tablet with Raltegravir should be avoided. Consult the doctor if you have any concerns, the doctor may recommend alternatives that do not interact with raltegravir. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Almity Tablet may interfere with the absorption of Gefitinib and reduce its effectiveness.

Although there is an interaction, Almity Tablet can be taken with Gefitinib if prescribed by the doctor. However, Gefitinib and Almity Tablet should not be taken orally at the same time. Maintain a gap of 2-6 hours between both medicines. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Almity Tablet may lower the effectiveness of Patiromer calcium in binding potassium.

Although there is an interaction, Almity Tablet can be taken with Patiromer calcium if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the prescriber if you experience symptoms such as metabolic alkalosis like nausea, vomiting, tremor, muscle twitching, lightheadedness, numbness or tingling, prolonged muscle spasms, slowed breathing, irregular heartbeat, and confusion. Do not discontinue the medication without a doctor's advice.
Co-administration of Dolutegravir with Almity Tablet can reduce the effectiveness of dolutegravir.

Although there is an interaction, Almity Tablet can be taken with dolutegravir if prescribed by the doctor. However, dolutegravir and Almity Tablet should not be taken orally at the same time. Maintain a gap of 2-6 hours between both medicines. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Almity Tablet with Ketoconazole may decrease the effects of Ketoconazole.

Although there is an interaction, Almity Tablet can be taken with Ketoconazole if prescribed by the doctor. However, maintain a gap of 2 or more hours between both medicines. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
