About Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream belongs to a class of 'antifungal' drugs primarily used to treat fungal skin and nail infections. Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue of the skin.  Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness, and scaling of the skin.

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream contains Amorolfine and Phenoxyethanol. Amorolfine is an antifungal medicine. It works by stopping the production of a chemical called 'ergosterol' in fungi that causes fungal infection. Without ergosterol, the fungus cannot survive. As a result, infection-causing fungi die. At the same time, Phenoxyethanol acts as a preservative.

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream is usually a safe medicine with no or limited side effects. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dry skin, itching, redness, or a burning sensation of the skin. Most side effects of this medication do not require medical attention and typically resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your physician.

Avoid using Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream if allergic to it. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use this medication with proper consultation and caution. Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream is to be used on children below 12 years of age only when advised by the child's doctor.

The detailed uses of Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream are as follows:<br/>• Treats ringworm (Tinea corporis): Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream helps eliminate fungal infections on the body.<br/>• Controls jock itch (Tinea cruris): Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream relieves itching and irritation in groin areas.<br/>• Manages athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis): Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream treats fungal infections between toes.<br/>• Addresses cutaneous candidiasis: Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream helps with yeast infections on the skin.<br/>• Treats Pityriasis versicolor: Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream reduces discoloured patches caused by fungal overgrowth.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Recommended to apply Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream once a day, ideally in the evening or as advised by your doctor.
  • Clean and dry the infected area of the skin or nails. Take a small amount of Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream on your finger and gently rub it onto the affected area and the surrounding skin.
  • If Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream accidentally comes into contact with the nose, mouth, or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream consists of Amorolfine that should be used after consulting with a physician if a person has raised blood sugar levels (diabetes mellitus).

You are required to maintain at least a three-hour gap after application of Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream if you are using more than one topical medicine.

No, do not stop using Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream on your own even if the symptoms are relieved until your course, as advised by the physician, is finished.

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream is for topical (for skin) use only. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream unless the physician advises. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina, rinse with cold water. Do not apply Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream on open wounds, lesions and blisters.

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream, when used for longer periods, can cause thinning and weakening of the skin. Please stop using Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream and immediately consult your physician if you notice these symptoms.

You are recommended to apply makeup or sunscreen to the treated area of skin after a minimum of 20 minutes of using Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream.

The duration for using Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream depends on the type and severity of the fungal infection. However, you are recommended to use Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, to avoid recurrence of infection. If the condition worsens or persists, please consult a doctor.

Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream takes a few days or weeks to clear up the infection due to the slow growth of nails, type and severity of the fungal infection. Therefore, it is important to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop using Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream even if you notice improvement, to ensure the infection is fully treated and to prevent recurrence.

Store Amrolmac 0.25%W/W Cream at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Do not freeze. Tightly close the cap after usage to prevent contamination. Keep it out of reach of children.
